MAS SAVE A LIFE FOUNDATION
Merry Merry Merry Christmas.
Envision dinner with your loved ones. Everyone sitting around the dining room table eating Christmas dinner. You are all laughing and enjoying the time you all have together. Everyone in the room is so happy about the time they spend together. You all talk about what God has done for you, what God didn’t do during last year, and the joy this Christmas brought, then what the new year could bring and what you wish it would. Everyone is happy and enjoyable.
Imagine waking up too many trees around you or waking up with strangers in a shelter, or at the parking lot, under the bridge with no food, blanket or clothes.
There is no dinner on a decorated table. There are no Christmas carols being played in the background. No gifts are being passed around because you have nobody, no friends, family to even wish you Merry Christmas. You are missing your families because your families are ashamed of you because of your living situation and lifestyle.
These same people all used to be happy and full of cheer and excitement. That was until events in their lives happened that displaced them. Not only physically but emotionally and mentally as well.
Displaced them to the point they are made to feel less than themselves. Made to feel unworthy. The society they once lived in now deems them unfit and incompetent.
Look around your dinner table or the people you are around. Is the happiness in the room something that is felt more times during the year or you are just happy another has ended, don’t worry God said is not over, It does not matter your state and position right now, as long as you are alive there is hope. “GOD HAS THE FINAL SAY”
Christmas is just another day for the homeless. There is no gift, the fact that they even see another day is a gift in itself.
There is no aroma of desserts filling the air. The only aroma may be smelly clothes or someone burning a fire to get warm. Homeless people worry everyday about numerous things
No one knows their stories or circumstances that got them there. No Condition Is Permanent.
Maybe you will start a new family tradition at Christmas. One that your children will want to pass on to theirs and so on.
Please remember the less fortunate this Christmas. They may live life differently than most, but they are still human.
Merry Christmas from my family to yours. Be safe and God Bless us all!
